“A Tribute to America 250″
An art exhibit featuring works by R.J. Tomascik and Sue Hand
Friday, Saturday and Sunday June 12,13,14 – Trinity Episcopal Church, 337 Spring St. West Pittston
We are excited to announce our opening America250 event, an art exhibit featuring original artworks by R.J. Tomascik and Sue Hand. The show will be held on June 12, 13 and 14, 2026 and each day will feature a gallery talk on a different topic. The schedule is listed below:
Friday June 12 – 6:00-8:00pm – gallery talk at 7:00pm “Why We Paint History” a tribute to people of the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, anthracite history and a special tribute to “First to Fall”
Saturday June 13 – 6:00-8:00pm – gallery talk at 7:00pm “Our National Parks” highlighting watercolor and oil paintings by R.J. Tomascik including a short watercolor demonstration.
Sunday June 14 – 2:00-4:00pm – gallery talk at 3:00pm “the Art of the American Flag” – including a short watercolor demonstration by Sue Hand and a mini display of historical artworks by several of Sue’s talented younger artists grades 2-6.
This event is free and open to the public. Mr. Tomascik will be offering prints of his paintings for sale.
